If your card expires in March, April or May you have a 60 day extension.  (i.e. Those that took the class two years ago in May, your original expiration date was May 31st. With the 60 day extension you now have until July 31st to complete your NRP Provider exam, eSim, and instructor-led event (live skill testing).)

NARM has agreed to this extension recommended by AAP/NRP. I’ve been in contact with ACNM and they will also be releasing a statement. Ultimately, it’s up to individual employers (if you work for someone) and/or regulatory bodies (ie. state of CA for LMs, CMs, ACNM, etc), who require current NRP cards, to agree and allow you to practice under this 60 day extension of your NRP Provider Card. If you haven’t heard from your employer or licensing body, please contact them and ask for their formal declaration, to ensure you are in compliance. NRP states they can, under certain circumstances, issue a temporary card if you need one with the extension date on it. NRP requests that you, first, get a blanket statement from your governing body, and then email NRP directly.
